“Everybody’s got something to hide”. - Judith August
How much do I love that statement! It’s so true in so many ways, right? Judith August is the master of camouflage makeup and her products work.

Both Melissa Street and I love Judith August products. My first introduction was The Everything Pencil some 20 years ago. There was nothing like it and every artist I knew had one in their kit. We still do!
A couple of years ago Judith herself came across a video I made where I used her Killer Cover to cover a tattoo. She emailed me personally to thank me and a friendship began. We’ve been corresponding for a number of years via phone and email and I will let you know that she is a lovely woman with a wealth of knowledge. I really like her.
Here's that video in case you want to learn how I used the product: How to Cover a Tattoo using Killer Cover from Kim Greene YT channel

Judith was originally a fashion model in LA and NY
but was told that “the bags under my eyes would never allow for great camera work and there was nothing I could do about it.” Surgery wasn’t an option in those days because at 17 she was too young to operate on. She took this road block as a challenge and studied lighting, makeup artistry and camouflage techniques and was able to model for nearly 20 years. This is where “Everybody’s got something to hide.” comes in. She met so many people with similar issues that she decided to create her cosmetic line that focused on concealing imperfections. For her it was all about well being and self esteem.
Judith August has products that specialize in solving issues from simple annoying flaws to truly serious coverage. She has specific products that work for acne, age spots, birthmarks, bruises, port wine stains, rosacea, scars, spider veins, varicose veins, broken capillaries, tattoos, vitiligo.

Here's a shot of actress on a TV pilot I did who had major skin discoloration and scarring. I used Killer Cover first and then applied her foundation over top. BTW, all of my photos were taken in the makeup trailer and are raw photos.

Lastly, I want to tell you about Judith’s recent book, “Gotcha Covered, the Compact Guide to Camouflage Makeup” ,which I own by the way, is a wonderfully illustrated guide packed with tips and tricks of makeup masters. It’s a good one! You can get it on Amazon or through Judith August’s web site Gotcha Covered by Judith August
